PAWS-I-TIVE BEHAVIOR
Here at Ridge, we pledge each day to:
Be Responsible
Be Respectful
Be Safe
Children who are "caught" making good choices throughout the day can earn a PAW by teachers, aides, administrators, and even parent helpers in the school. We put our PAWS in our PAW pocket outside our classroom. At the end of every week all the PAWS are brought to the office and are entered into a classroom drawing. The winner gets a special prize from the office!
Behavior Chart System:
Children will start on green each day. If I see them making a good choice they will be told to move their clip up. I also use 1,2,3 Magic in the classroom. If a child is counted to 3 for an action they will be asked to move their clip down. Clips can be moved up or down throughout the day. If your child ends the day above the green, she/she will earn a PAW as noted below.
***Each week, I will select an amount of PAWS that the students in our class have to earn (at the beginning of the year we start small (3-5 PAWS) and towards the end of the year we think big!). If your child earns the correct amount of PAWS that week, she/he will be able to pick a prize from our class Treasure Box. Towards the end of the year, we start picking out of the box bi weekly or monthly.***
